Choosing to live life as
Something beautiful for God.
About
This life is my something beautiful for God.
Hello! I’m Sarah. I’m a woman, wife, mother, and friend.
My Catholic Faith animates every part of my life. I love prayer and diving into the spiritual life. I never shy away from a good conversation about the Faith, whether to inspire, encourage, to go deeper, or to keep growing as a human being.
I love my family. Family life is where I live out my vocation as a wife and mother. Home is where I love to be and I’m passionate about making home a happy, healthy, welcoming, and loving place for my family and for those who visit.
I’m passionate about life and finding ways to do something beautiful for God.
I think friendship is one of the greatest gifts God gives us; friendship with Him, within family life, and friendship with others.
My husband and I have been married for 18 years and we have six children. This big, beautiful life is our gift from God and living it is our adventure and our gift back to Him. It’s been filled with joys and sorrows, consolations and trials, sickness and health, and everything we said to each other in our vows on our wedding day, plus plenty of laughter and humor. The truth is, our life is not perfect, and we’re figuring it out as we go along, but that’s what makes it interesting, unexpected, and beautiful.
I am a graduate of both Franciscan University and Benedictine College. My educational background, my life experience, and my general love for writing, designing, organizing, and effectively communicating has given me the opportunity to dive into a variety of fields with joy and success.
I have worked in corporate sales, assisted in running a family business, assisted in writing and editing the documentation for a United States Patent, worked as an editor and ghost writer for professionals in their respective fields, worked as a researcher, developed and designed websites, and worked as a youth coordinator, where I developed, from the ground up, the framework, as well as original written content and live reflections and meditations, for Junior High and High School youth to grow in their Faith and foster authentic friendships in a world that is rapidly becoming more and more humanly disconnected.
I started this space in February 2024 as an outlet for my creativity and talents, and to encourage others in their marriages, families, and professions by sharing my passion for faith, family life, beauty, and authentic friendship.
I previously authored a blog called The Happy, Resourceful Home from December 26, 2010 until September 7, 2014. I posted over 290 entries in that time on a variety of topics. Occasionally I will pull entries from the archives of that blog to share here in this season of life because I believe the seasons of life that came before helped form and shape me into who I am now, and that it’s important to remember where I have been as I am venturing forward.
The principle I operate from in all areas of my vocation is “to do something beautiful for God”. This has been my guiding principle for years, whether facing joys or challenges. And it is the principle I operate from in my writing.
Thank you for joining me on this journey!
